One of the Kwik-Fit British Touring Car Championship’s most popular drivers, Michael Crees put together a breakthrough season in 2020 – his first with BTC Racing – on his way to winning the Jack Sears Trophy crown.
With just a single year of BTCC action under his belt when he arrived at BTC to race one of the squad’s three Honda Civic Type-R FK8 cars, the Broadstairs driver made leaps and bounds and dominated the class championship with a total of 12 victories.
Claiming six other podiums too, ‘Creesy’ went on to secure the championship by 48 points from his nearest rival and, in doing so, bagged BTC Racing’s maiden title in the BTCC. He was also a consistent outright scorer, with 13 overall points finishes.
Enjoying great continuity for 2021 by remaining with BTC, Crees will undoubtedly be one to watch as the campaign unfolds. Don’t forget, he’s only been racing at any level since 2017!
