BTC Racing are delighted to announce Danny Buxton has joined the team

Buxton, who enjoyed a successful driving racing career including championship titles in various national tin-top series and spells in BTCC and GT’s, will now oversee all the BTC Racing motorsport activities, which include three full entries in the BTCC.

We are incredibly happy to welcome Danny to BTC,” said team owner Steve Dudman.

“To have secured the role of Team Principal and Managing Director with such a well-known

and experienced figure, is an important milestone for our team, its employees and

race organisation.

Danny knows motorsport inside out at the world’s highest level where everyone in the team will benefit from his experience. I’m really looking forward to working with him on our long-term vision for the rapid development of our Race Team and the Organisation.”

Alongside his previous racing success, Buxton spent a number of years mentoring and coaching both amateur and young driving talent, before being recruited by McLaren in 2012. Buxton moved into the Automotive world, managing the track element for the premium supercar’s global customer events, and organising their professional driving team, before moving to McLaren’s Motorsport division as Head of Customer Racing.

“Steve Dudman and I have kept fairly close for a number of years now and after speaking recently, he laid out the Race Team’s exciting future plans. I immediately found the projects appealing and we soon came to an agreement. I’m extremely excited to join the team in such an ambitious phase of their young history.

Steve has been instrumental in me signing. He has an impressive business approach and profile and together with my industry experience, we’ll develop the current race programmes and deliver new customer initiatives within our shared vision. This is just the opportunity I’ve been looking for.“
